University of Geneva to screen Iran’s “Saint Mary”

TEHRAN -- “Saint Mary” by Iranian director Shahriar Bahrani’s will go on screen at the Law School of the University of Geneva on December 18 to coincide with the Christmas season.
Organized by a cultural center located in Paris, the film screening aims to promote interreligious dialogue between monotheistic religions.The president of Ahl-ul-Beit Islamic Association Vahid Khoshideh, founder of the Geneva Interreligious Platform Jean-Claude Basset and former Chief Rabbi of Geneva Marc Raphael Guedj will give lectures on “Woman and Religion” and “The Place of Saint Mary in Quran and the Bible”.
The film depicts the life of Saint Mary and the birth of Jesus Christ from an Islamic point of view. The two-hour long movie was originally in Persian and has been dubbed into English by the Wilayah Network.
